Privacy

This is a family-run page about a junior kart racer. It is not a business and it does not sell anything about you. Here is what it does with the little information it handles. Last updated 17 October 2026.

Just looking around

The site has no adverts and no tracking cookies. Its fonts, styles and pictures all come from the site itself. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, handles technical details such as your IP address in order to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare may also give us basic visit counts that do not use cookies.

Videos

The Media page and the Watch buttons can play videos from Jonah’s YouTube channel. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play: the video pictures on the Media page are fetched by this site and served from jonahracing.uk, so showing them does not involve your browser contacting YouTube. When you do, the video is shown by YouTube (a Google service) in its privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube learns that your browser has visited that video. Its own privacy policy applies from then on. If you would rather not, use the “Watch on YouTube” link or just do not press play.

The Pit Wall

You choose from fixed lists, so you never type anything. We keep a simple count of which questions are picked, with no IP address and nothing that identifies you, to see what is popular. Some answers are worded by OpenAI from numbers the site has already calculated. Nothing about you is sent to OpenAI.

Ask Jonah

If you send a question, we keep what you typed: your question (up to 500 characters), and a first name and an email address if you chose to give them.

  • Who reads it: a person at the family reads every question. It is emailed to us through a delivery service called Resend. Nothing is answered or published automatically.
  • Bot check: a Cloudflare Turnstile check runs before a question is accepted. It looks at technical details of your browser to tell people from bots.
  • Spelling: the text of your question is sent to OpenAI to correct spelling and grammar. We ask OpenAI not to store it.
  • Your email address: used only to send you the reply. It is deleted as soon as the reply has gone, or if we dismiss the question, and in any case 60 days after you sent it.
  • Published answers: if we publish an answer, the question and the answer appear on the site. Your first name and email address never do.
  • Your question and first name are kept so we can answer you. They stay in our private inbox until you ask us to remove them.

Please do not put links or other people's personal details in a question. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or carer before sending one.

The Paddock Market

The contact email on the Market page is shown only after a Cloudflare Turnstile check, to keep spam bots away. If you email that address, we use your message only to reply to you.

Seeing or removing your information

You can ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to delete it. The simplest way is to reply to the email we sent you. If you have not had one, send a new question through Ask Jonah saying what you would like removed, and leave an email address so we can confirm. If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (opens in a new tab).
